Bottles with Browning is a personal wine website. It collects as little information as possible, and only what's needed to run the site and its newsletter. This page explains what is collected and why.
What we collect
- Your email address — only if you choose to sign up for the newsletter. It is stored so we can send you the occasional "bottle of the month" email.
- Wine pairing questions — the wine or dish you type into the pairing tool is sent to our server to generate a suggestion. It is not stored or linked to you.
We do not collect names, payment details, or any sensitive personal information, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How your email is used
Newsletter sign-ups are stored in our database and synced to our email provider (Kit) purely to send the newsletter. Your email is never sold or shared with anyone else. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Cookies & local storage
The site uses your browser's local storage only to remember your place and preferences as you browse. These are not shared with third parties.
Third-party services
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses Supabase (database) and Kit (email). Maps and fonts are loaded from their respective providers. These services may process technical data such as your IP address as a normal part of delivering the page.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. If you'd like your email removed from our records entirely, get in touch and we'll delete it.
